sprinkle warmth

Nothing is better than having a cup of warmth in the afternoon. There is something so nostaligic to me about coming in after being out in the cold and having my own Mother warm me up with a cup of cocoa and some toast. As a child, that is what she would do when we came inside. I found this wonderful image over at Sprinkles.
Instead of sending flowers, what about sending some warmth with a cupcake and cocoa.

So comforting and delicious! When in Italy for New Year's Eve a few years ago-I ordered hot chocolate and it was so thick, that the spoon stood straight up in the cup.
Now you've gone and added a Sprinkles cupcake which makes it pure, sweet bliss.

And seeing a handmade marshmallow square (or two) floating on top just puts me over-the-moon!

Oh my! I love that photo! Just looking at that marshmallow sticking out of the hot chocolate makes me want to attempt to make some homemade!

I love chocolate. A cup of good chocolate is a favorite. It warms me up on a cold winter day.
I often drink it with my homemade marshmallows. One of these days soon I will post my recipe. They are so yummy and such a treat. I make them for gifts and to take to auctions.

Goodness I love Sprinkles' cupcakes. And that picture looks so inviting right now....

By the way, thanks for visiting my blog! I can imagine what a warm, cozy glow an orange ceiling would cast on a room...sounds lovely.

Love this image, especially that marshmallow. My Lucy has been begging for cocoa. I think we'll make some tomorrow after school.

Talk soon.

Yes..couldn't agree more and I have just the site for you...www.pelicanbayltd.com. Look for Marshmallow Fudge Hot Chocolate. It has been a big hit in our house during all these snowdays!

Hot choclate on a cold day, what could be better? A Sprinkles cupcake. Williams-Sonoma sells somes of their mixes. The red-velvet is my favorite. I still make hot chocolate on the stove the old-fashioned way and put it in a pot...something I learned from the French!

Happy New Year PVE! We did just this very thing (only I had a delicious mocha with whipped cream) after a beautiful walk this past Sunday with all the dogs, friends and their dogs. We walked through a gorgeous snowy park and the snow was all sparkly, like sprinkles on cocoa.... the dogs were all happy and fell asleep in the car on the drive home from the park.

My mom did that for me too!! She instilled in me a love of slices of toast dipped in hot chocolate. Whenever I visit my parents' house, I always make a point of eating toast and hot chocolate.

When I lived in LA I would go to Sprinkles all the time... my favorites were the Red Velvet or the Chai which they only make on Fridays!!! :)
